Behind each Mali design lies a master craftsperson, a village, tradition and art form passed down from one generation to the other. Mali collections designs are eastern influenced fused with classic Western and European styling.
THE DESIGNER
Brian Johnson's career began in London exporting silk and chiffon ladies fashion to USA and later in garment district in New York. Like the Shepherd boy in the “The Alchemist”, Brian Johnson went in search of his personal treasurer and along the way found his heart.
JAI DEE FOUNDATION
Jai Dee (“open heart”) Foundation is a US non-profit, philanthropic, organization whose mission is to improve the lives of rural and mountain villagers in northern Thailand, Burma, Lao and Cambodia region by providing basic necessities-of-life.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to preserve, nurture and sustain generational artisan and art form practices through sustained and gainful employment, fair wage, product development with the mission enabling a good standard-of-living for local villagers.
